White crystalline powder with specific odor.

Solubility

Freely soluble in methanol and diluted hydrochloric acid, soluble in ethanol and slightly insoluble in water.

Specific rotation:-12° to -6°.

Melting point:200°C to 207°C, decomposes when melting.
