SECTION 3 - HARZARD IDENTIFICATION EMERGENCY OVERVIEW - Toxic. Allergen.

Adverse Effects: Adverse effects may include muscle contraction (followed by muscle relaxation and delayed muscle pain or stiffness), respiratory depression or inability to breathe, abnormal heartbeat, and excessive salivation. Possible allergic reaction to material if inhaled, ingested or in contact with skin.

Overdose Effects: The signs of overdose include skeletal muscle weakness or prolonged paralysis, involuntary muscle twitching, inability to breathe, electrolyte imbalance, severe drop in blood pressure, shock and death.

Acute: Possible eye, skin, gastrointestinal and/or respiratory tract irritation.

Chronic: Possible hypersensitization, electrolyte imbalance, and prolonged paralysis or weakness of the muscles used in breathing.

Medical Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: Hypersensitivity to material, family history of malignant hyperthermia, glaucoma or retinal detachment, major burns, massive trauma, muscular dystrophies, spinal cord injuries, impaired kidney function, atypical plasma cholinesterase, impaired cardiovascular function, fractures, muscle spasm and severe hyperkalemia.

Cross Sensitivity: Persons sensitive to other neuromuscular blockers may be sensitive to this material.

Target Organs: Neuromuscular system.
